Cant even create a new recipe or restore version 1 database

Bought it cause I liked the first version, which needed a little help with imports etc, figured I would go to this version. I backup to drop box on version 1, and try to import on version 2 doesnt see the files in drop box..... Cant even paste beerxml into it any more with copy paste.... Ok fine, Ill try and make a new recipe... Everything I click new the app crashes.... Completely useless and a waste of $7

Registration

I cant even register my info, nothing happens when I press "submit". This kind of stinks considering I have an account already for ibrewmaster 1.

Fail. Waste of $$

Dont waste your time and effort on this piece of garbage app. Back to BeerSmith I go. If you do decide to use it, back up your data FREQUENTLY and not on iCloud. Big ridden and clunky it is. Seems to be the new norm with devs that have a hit with version 1 and make a half-a$$ed attempt at a paid update with version 2. Support is non-existent, so dont bother reporting any issues.

Update BJCP

Update the BJCP to 2015 guidelines already!

App keeps crashing

Every time I press "New" to create new recipe the app crashes. That makes it completely useless.

Doesnt work very well

A lot of user issues. No customer support left and busted links. Wait for someone to buy them out.

Dont waste your money.

I used to really like this app then it updated and deleted all my recipes and now I cant get it to work.

Register Sign In Broken

The iBrewMaster2 user register function isnt working. That is step 1 after downloading, and the only way to access user brews. I am definitely not going to trust this app with a brew if the sign in function is broken. Sticking with the original iBrewMaster for now. The original iBrewMaster also had a "Support" button to directly communicate about software issues, which would have allowed me to send a direct message instead of write a review to inquire about the issue.

Vaporware

Guess what the latest update did for me? It erased every recipe and batch log for 2 years! I cant restore from iCloud or Dropbox because in some fancy new way it deleted those as well. Pretty awesome. I emailed the developer several times MORE THAN A YEAR AGO. Crickets. This is vapor ware. DO NOT BUY. I started over from scratch on BeerSmith and havent looked back.

Update: Easy to use but buggy

Old review below, here is an update: Update, finally got an update and maybe there is hope, please keep them coming. As I said previously this is one of the easiest apps to use that I have found, but there are some slightly irritating bugs such as getting kicked out of a recipe mid edit. Bottom line, great app, but buggy, if it continues to be updated there may be hope. If it helps, this is still my default app for recipe formulation Old review Dead App! Do not waste your money!!! l had IBM1 and loved it, frequent updates, and fixes as needed. Could not wait for IBM2, and updated as soon as the new version came out, at significant expense. New version had cool features, but buggy, as any new app will be. Instead of being refined overtime, the product is stagnant. Updates and fixes are few if any... Truly a pity, this app had potential to be the definitive app for brewing, it was easy to use, and intuitive, but because of neglect it is a waste of money. I say this because after using may other apps, this is the one I found easiest to use. Very disappointed at the result of this franchise. Do not waste your money!

Works, but needs polishing

Ive been using this app for quite a while. Generally very nice and I like the brew calendar and batch features. I wanted to add it to my iPhone and use the iCloud feature. It worked for a little while, then stopped syncing from my iPad. It would be nice if some of the broken features would be addressed.

Beer making software

Regarding ibrewmaster 2 it looks more like an unstable beta than far from being worth 16€, in fact I also have beer smith 2 and I just wanted a better logger that bs2 but paying so much for such a bad software as ibrewmaster 2 is hard, it closes when making a new receipt sometimes doesnt saves and we have to repeat all again backup fails no profiles for other then infusion and heat no beer in a bag, fermentation profiles not detailed and very bad explained. Really expensive for a bad software go for beer smith2 thats my recommendation. No mater what northern brewer they receive money for publicity even if the software is not good!

I cant run this app even on my iPhone and ipad

I cant run this app even on my iPhone and ipad

Crashes too often to be usable

Very buggy app - especially for the price. Brew timers freeze up and wont turn off. Relatively ugly and non-intuitive user interface. Recipe catalog is relatively extensive.

The Best Homebrew APP!!

This is an awesome app! I have nothing but positive reviews about this app. It keeps track of all my recipes, and eliminates most, if not all, of math calculations that sometimes comes with higher level homebrewing. The support staff is great, and responded to an issue I was having the very next day! Highly recommend to all my friends and people here on the app store! Keep up the great work, definitely worth every dollar!

Long time iBrewmaster user

I have been using iBrewmaster 1 since it came out several years ago and now I have upgraded to the new version. My advice is to avoid this version as it is loaded with bugs. Perhaps someday they will get the program back to where it used to be.

Buggy

I also upgraded from iBrewmaster 1. This has the potential to be a great brewing app but it is hampered by bugs in almost every aspect. There are bugs importing recipes from the earlier version. There are bugs in the mash pH calculations. There are bugs is the batch sparge calculations. There are bugs with saving things. I will be using the Brun water spreadsheet to calculate my water profile until this app is fixed. Right now it is only good for storing recipes.

Very buggy

I have been using iBrewmaster since it first came out and recently opted to upgrade to iBrewmaster 2 because of the bundle pricing. Unfortunately, its very buggy. Each time I disregard a new alert, app freezes and forces me to relaunch. I still cannot sync my database between iPhone and iPad via iCloud even though theyre both enabled according to the direction. And I thought we would see a very clean app this time around but the font choice and backgrounds are unlike other clean apps on iOS 8. I want to like this app very much, but must switch to something stable and something that presents the information in a clean and clear way!

Excellent Product and People

Im really tired of reading reviews about how "buggy" this app is. Have you tried emailing the builders? HOLY PETE people! These guys reply to emails within 1-2 days and go out of their way to fix any problem that comes up. I have tried many different software packages for beer brewing from the super complex to the very basic and this is the best Ive found so far. Its extremely easy to use but still has all the detail necessary to keep accurate track of my brew sessions. Its extremely easy to input a recipe and then all I have to do is shoot it over to a batch session and its easy to make any changes that come along during the brew session without changing the master recipe, I *love* that feature. Also the back up to dropbox option is clutch, especially after my iPad died. You guys just keep up the great work! You make a product well worth more than the $17 dollars it costs on here. PEOPLE PLEASE REMEMBER BUILDING THIS SOFTWARE TAKES TIME, TIME TAKES MONEY!!! Dont complain about the price when youre getting what you pay for. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE build this for PC and Mac!!!

No reply from support

I backed up my data to Dropbox and when I restored it, all of my data was gone! I had started with iBrewmaster 1 and moved to the new version when it came out. I have written the developers support site 3 times asking for help but have not received a reply. Very frustrating as I have lost all of my personalizations, recipes and batches. ANY app without support is not worth the price!
